Anandam, Our Noida hospice was established in 2017 with the exemplary support of Shri Nishtha Arora, who generously dedicated his entire house for patient care. The hospice caters to the needs of the poor, the sick, the homeless, and others requiring recuperative care and support.
It functions as a short-stay home and serves as a transit facility for patients traveling to and from Alwar for follow-ups and emergencies.
Anandam Noida welcomed 90 new patients in FY 2024-25, while a significant number of patients-27 in total-were located and reunited with their families. The center also recorded the passing of 6 patients during the year.The majority of patients at Anandam Noida are transferred from AIIMS Trauma Center and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. These individuals have suffered from various forms of physical or mental trauma. Most are referred because they have no family support and are therefore admitted in the “unknown ward” of the Trauma Center. Others require lifelong palliative care, with very limited chances of recovery. In such cases, while the trauma centers provide initial medical stabilization, the patients require long-term care and support. Our dedicated team of social workers ensures they are provided with shelter, food, medical attention, and compassionate care for as long as they remain with us. For patients who require permanent residence, we arrange for their transfer to our long-term shelter facilities at Anandam in Alwar.
NGO SAPNA’ was registered in Delhi under the Societies Registration Act on 21st October, 2004. It was founded by a group of professionals who shared a dream to work on a people-centric model of development in areas of health, education, gender, community development and social welfare. Inspired by Gandhian ideals of ‘Sewa’ i.e. selfless service, SAPNA’s mission is to work/act as an ‘agent of change’ to support and empower the poor and the marginalized.
