Rajendari, a 70-year-old lady, admitted to Anandam, Vijay Mandir on June 28, 2023, She was shifted from Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Center of AIIMS. Upon arrival, she was in a coma. Our social workers took a good care of her and provided all the medicines and required nutrition. After one month she awaked from the coma. During the initial stages of her recovery, she required assistance for walking and primarily consumed Daliya and Khichadi. The dedicated support provided by our social workers played a crucial role in her care.
After two months, Rajendari demonstrated significant progress by regaining the ability to walk independently. Currently, she is successfully managing her daily tasks autonomously.
We made several attempts to inquire about her background, but she consistently declined to share details about her home. However, she recently revealed that she completed her 8th-grade education in Hindi medium. She is a devout believer in Jesus Christ and enjoys reading literature about Him, as well as Hindi newspapers. Originally from Hamirpur City, she left her hometown almost 40 years ago. For the past few decades, she resided in Delhi with her husband, Shankar Lal Kabir, and their children. In 2020, the couple left their home in Delhi and sought refuge in Kotla. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they faced difficulties and eventually found themselves at Nizamuddin Railway Station. Tragically, her husband, Shankar Lal Kabir, passed away in 2020 during these challenging times. In the Nizamuddin Railway Station, Nathuram tea stall and Rakesh Hotel extended their support to her during the trying circumstances. Subsequently, she mentioned traveling to Banaras by the yellow train in May 2023. However, after losing track of the events that unfolded thereafter, it remains unclear how she came into contact with the NGO Sapna. Now, on March 18, 2024, Mahila Constable and I.O. arrived at Aandam Vijay Mandir, and after some paperwork, they took Rajendari to Nizamuddin.
