Many persons with disabilities are having a hard time sustaining themselves during the pandemic. Sapna has been distributing dry ration kits to physically challenged individuals at AIIMS trauma center to help them and their families with the basic food supplies.
According to official estimates, around 2.2 percent of India’s population is disabled. Reports have also documented the difficulties in accessing food, essential items, and essential medical procedures during the lockdown as well as the inaccessibility of information and helplines. In this difficult time, we at SAPNA are reaching out to the disabled and ensuring that they & their families have accessibility to dry ration & medical equipment.

NGO SAPNA’ was registered in Delhi under the Societies Registration Act on 21st October, 2004. It was founded by a group of professionals who shared a dream to work on a people-centric model of development in areas of health, education, gender, community development and social welfare. Inspired by Gandhian ideals of ‘Sewa’ i.e. selfless service, SAPNA’s mission is to work/act as an ‘agent of change’ to support and empower the poor and the marginalized.
