In continuation of our commitment to community development, NGO Sapna undertook another impactful initiative in Village Dadikar—the installation of solar street lights. A total of 40 solar street lights were installed along the main road of the village, significantly enhancing the safety and ease of movement for residents, especially during the night.
The project has already begun to transform daily life in the village. The well-lit roads provide a sense of security, encourage community interaction after dark, and reduce the risk of accidents and theft. The feedback from villagers has been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the real and immediate difference the initiative has brought to their lives.
Each solar street light is equipped with a 75-watt solar panel, 30 AH battery, and 30-watt LED light, with a backup capacity of 6–7 hours over two nights. The system also includes an auto day-night sensor and is certified with IP65/66 standards, ensuring durability and reliability.
We are deeply grateful to Desiccant Rotors International Pvt. Ltd. for supporting this initiative under their CSR program.
