On October 21st, 2024, on the occasion of Sapna’s Founder’s Day, we organized the first Prabha Devi Memorial Lecture. This event honors the memory of Late Smt. Prabha Devi, the mother of our esteemed General Secretary, who was a remarkable and empowered woman.
Dr. Manisha Priyam, a distinguished academician, social activist, and political analyst, served as the keynote speaker for this occasion. In her inspiring lecture, titled “This Era Now Belongs to Women,” she addressed an audience of around 300 women from 17 nearby villages, delivering a powerful message of empowerment, resilience, and progress.
Dr. Priyam emphasized that we are living in an era where women are shaping every sphere of life from boardrooms to battlefields, laboratories to legislatures. She highlighted how women are shattering barriers and breaking stereotypes, proving that their contributions are pivotal to society’s future. The lecture resonated deeply with the audience, reminding everyone of the immense potential women hold and how their empowerment is intricately tied to the progress of our communities and the world.
It was decided that each year, on the occasion of Sapna’s Founder’s Day, this memorial lecture will be organized, providing a platform to celebrate and reflect on the ongoing journey of women’s empowerment.
This annual lecture not only honors the memory of a truly remarkable woman but also serves as a beacon of inspiration, reminding us of the vital role women play in shaping the world. We are proud to dedicate this Founder’s Day tradition to the legacy of Smt. Prabha Devi, whose life continues to inspire and empower future generations.
